“I came to Ingrid with an almost 4 year old and an almost 1 year old, both of whom had never slept through the night in their rooms alone and protested sleep of any kind. Getting both of our boys to fall asleep at bed and nap time was a 1-2 hour process that involved breastfeeding and rocking the baby and laying in bed with the toddler. Both boys had as many as 7 night wakings a night each. We tried several different things and felt like we were at our wits end. I was extremely sleep deprived and in desperate need of help! When I first spoke to Ingrid I was so worried that our case would be too extreme and my kids too old for her to take us on. She quickly put me at ease, that my husband and I WOULD get to sleep again. She had absolute confidence that we could get both boys to sleep through the night. It took hard work, persistence and patience, but she was right! Both boys have much better sleeping skills now! Within 3-4 weeks, my 4 year old was sleeping through the night and asking for his nap. Within a couple of days of weening my 1 year old off of breastfeeding at night, he was able to sleep 10-11 hours in a row. She worked with us through sicknesses, trips to hotels, changes in naps and teething to get us in a much better place. There was not a magic formula or potion that got the boys to start sleeping automatically.
They had both developed bad sleep habits during their lives and it took commitment to the plan, flexibility when the plan needed changing and will power to change those bad habits. As a mother, sometimes it’s hard to give your child the tough love they need in order to make changes.

But with Ingrid’s help and support, I was able to do it. Looking back, I don’t even know how I was functioning off of four years of bad sleep! I had to make sleep a priority in our home, for the betterment of all of our health and well being, and once I did that, I saw how important it was! My only regret is that I didn’t contact Ingrid sooner.”

“When we had our son in December 2015, my husband and I thought we had it all figured out, since we had sleep trained our older child on our own. Little did we know that every child is different (obvious) and the importance of consistency.

“I called Ingrid to help me get to sleep without using sleeping pills. I had been taking sleeping pills for many years and even with the pills I was still having two to three sleepless nights a week. I knew I had to stop taking the sleeping pills. Ingrid started me with a new sleep regimen and then started to cut back on the dose of pill I was taking. In about five weeks, I was able to stop taking the sleeping pills and now I get to sleep on my own.

Ingrid also helped with with problems I was having with IBS. By switching to Gluten Free products and keeping a log of everything I eat and how I feel afterwards has helped me to eliminate foods that irritate my stomach. I will be forever grateful to Ingrid for helping me with both issues. “

“Since we worked with you, I have to say I feel like I got a part of my life back. I no longer put Anastasia to sleep in my bed at 8 pm, which became my bed time. This is her 8th night that she has slept 12 straight hours without any night wakings and NO visits to my bed!!!

The first few weeks were tough but SOOO worth it! Me and my husband actually cuddle again and every night I actually have time just for me! Looking back I wish I would have trained her how to sleep when she was younger but I just didn’t know how and these bad sleep habits just became a normal part of my life. Even though she just turned two you really gave me a great approach to get her to sleep in her bed and independently.

“Ser padres por primera vez, representa un verdadero reto. Todo lo que concierne a nuestro bebé, es un misterio y hasta las cosas más sencillas se convierten en todo un leguaje que desconocemos y el cual nos es casi imposible descifrar. Durante los primeros nueve meses de la vida de Lucas, mi esposo y yo dormimos en cuartos separados. Yo dormía justo al pie de su cuna, si el despertarse cada 4 horas se puede llamar dormir. Era casi imposible que mi bebé tomará una siesta que durara más de 15 minutos, no sin antes llorar, jalarme el pelo, rasguñarme la cara y hasta pegarme. Una verdadera tortura, una situación que tenía a nuestro hijo, a su padre y a mi completamente agotados. Un día, llegó a nuestras manos el teléfono de Ingrid, a quien llamamos de inmediato. Su dulzura y honestidad nos llenaron de confianza para seguir su método, una rutina llena de amor y consideración para nuestro pequeño pero, también guiada por disciplina y mucha constancia. Después de un par de días, Lucas comenzó a entender que debía dormir en su cuna, al punto, que hoy en día, disfruta dormir en ella, desde las 7:00pm hasta las 6:00am.

Además de hacer dos siestas de una hora, todos los días y tomarse su última botella a las 6:30pm. “Choosing to work with Ingrid has been the best decision my husband and I have made since our son was born. We called Ingrid a little after my son turned one and we realized that things had to change.

My son was napping in his stroller, waking up at night and coming into our bed, and waking up early in the morning. When I tried to let him cry it out he would become hysterical and throw up. I was unsure about working with a sleep consultant assuming that they would have me let him throw up and work through it.

Ingrid understood my concerns and worked with me to develop a plan to gradually ease my son into falling asleep on his own without getting hysterical. It was a long process since we put the training on hold while he was sick and also teething. Ingrid didn’t mind at all and was very patient with us.

By the end of working with Ingrid our son was taking 2-3 hour naps in his crib and putting himself to sleep at night in his crib and sleeping throughout the night.
